THE NORTH CENTRAL REGION
The region comprises 6 provinces: Thanh Hoa,
Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and
Thua Thien - Hue in close association with the
focal economic zone of the Center and East -
West tourist corridor with the total natural area
of 51,459.2km2 and total population of 10,297.7
thousand; population density 191 persons/km2.
Special about the region is its world heritage
system combining values of history, coastal and
island ecology.
