Phat Diem stone cathedral is located
in the town Phat Diem, Kim Son
District, Ninh Binh Province, 120km
south of Hanoi. This is one of the
most beautiful cathedrals in Vietnam
and was built from 1875 - 1898.
Phat Diem means the generation of
beauty and was named by Nguyen
Cong Tru. Phat Diem stone cathedral
is a unique architectural complex
bearing Oriental style. Phat Diem
stone cathedral is the hallmark in
the panorama of the historical and
beautiful spots of the ancient capital.
