Hoang A Tuong. Hoang A Tuong Dong Van Stone Plateau
edifice has been conserved,
maintained and embellished so
that tourists can learn about the
history of mountainous semi-
colonial and semi-feudal society
throughout time.
Tan Trao historical relic
Tan Trao is a small valley in Son
Duong district, 40km East of the
town Tuyen Quang and 200km
from Ha Noi.
TanTrao is a historical relic area,
and acted as a revolutionary base
forVietnam in the Before August
Revolution period. It used to be the
temporary capital of the liberated area.
Main relics: Tan Trao communal
house, Hong Thai communal house,
Tan Trao banian tree, Na Lua tent
where President Ho Chi Minh lived
from June to August, 1945, before
he returned to the capital Ha Noi.
Dong Van Stone Plateau
Dong Van Stone Plateau is in the
districts including Quan Ba, Yen
Minh, Dong Van, Meo Vac (Ha Giang
Province) with area of 2,350km2
and an average height between
1,400 - 1,600m. In this region,
scientists have discovered 45
geomorphologic relics, 33 tectonic
relics and many fossils in layers of
sedimentary rock. The diversified
geology of Dong Van Stone Plateau
is unique in Vietnam. In this region,
there are many formations of
more than 500 million of years
old. Formations of limestone
are especially prominent with
approximately ten structures of
limestone with total width of nearly
