THE CENTRAL HIGHLANDS
The region comprises 5 provinces: Kon Tum,
Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong and Lam Dong in
association with the “development triangle”
Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia, with natural area
of 54,641.1km2; population 5,460.4 thousand;
average population density 100 persons/km2.
The tourism characteristics of the region
include the culture of ethnic minorities in the
“gong cultural space” that has been recognized
as the Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO
ecological and landscape qualities of the
central highland.
